Support Friends of Koh Rong

Friends of Koh Rong is a small grassroots non-profit organisation. At present, we are not registered as an NGO in Cambodia, but it is a process that we have been working on, and continue to strive towards.  To find out more about the situation of registering as a local NGO, click here

As such, your donation is not tax deductable. That being said, you can be assured that your dollar will go far with FoKR. We have minimal overheads, employ only local staff, and work hard to ensure that every dollar is spent with the goal of doing the greatest good for the people of Koh Rong. If you have any questions, please ask.  We're more than happy to chat!

English Education PROGRAM

English education is at the core of the work that we do. For our beneficiaries, the ability to speak English gives them the opportunity to earn a higher wage, or to run their family business better.

We offer English classes to both adults and children, five days a week, completely free of charge. Over 120 students attend lessons each day, ranging from beginners locking down their ABCs to students working on advanced essay writing.

Here at Friends of Koh Rong, we believe that education is about much more than what happens in the classroom. Our school runs very differently than most schools in Cambodia.

Students engage in running whole-community events, healthcare and nutrition workshops, computer classes, music and art lessons outdoors, and sports and games days.
